Jakamoko and Yoko each have a 'special
thing' that only they can do.
Toto doesn't. He must find one, fast! |
Jakamoko can rattle
his eyes.
Yoko can "pop!" into a great big
ball shape.
Poor Toto doesn't have a special thing at
all. He tries to find one, doing lots of funny, silly things, but
nothing is special enough. 
Just when Toto's about to give up, a very
special thing happens! |

Jakamoko is scared of snakes, Toto is
scared of spiders, Yoko is afraid of the dark.
The three friends help one another
overcome their fears. |
Jakamoko is afraid
of a hissing snake. Yoko and Toto show him that the snake is friendly.
Toto is afraid of a tiny spider. Jakamoko
and Yoko show him that the spider isn't scary, but 'tickly'.
A thunderstorm frightens them all and they
hide in a cave…but Yoko is afraid of the dark. So, Jakamoko
and Toto comfort Yoko with a funny ‘eye-dance’ until
she is no longer scared.
Suddenly, hundreds of other eyes appear behind
them! Is it a scary monster? |

An angry Crocodile guards the waterhole,
so our heroes come up with the funniest ways of getting a drink that
you've ever seen. |
Our three friends
try lots of silly ways to sneak past an angry Crocodile to get a
drink from the waterhole.
Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto's silliest plan works.
They hide inside a hollow tree-trunk painted like a ‘lady
crocodile’ and walk straight past the Crocodile. Then they
use the tree-trunk as a boat to escape across the water. The Crocodile
thinks it's very funny, and laughs so much he can't chase them.
Just as our three friends start to drink,
something even funnier happens… |

Toto pretends to be ill to get his two
friends to look after him. |
A naughty Toto
pretends to be ill so that his friends will stay with him all day.
Big blue spots painted on his face prove how sick he is.
Yoko and Jakamoko tuck Toto up in bed and
feed him soothing drinks and tasty grapes to make him better. This
makes Toto very happy.
But when Yoko and Jakamoko tell Toto he's
too ill to join in their ball game, Toto learns that pretending
to be sick isn't so much fun after all. |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto help a whale stuck
on the beach. |
Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto find a Whale stuck in the sand at the seaside. They do
all they can to get him back out to sea.
Jakamoko is very strong. He tries to push
the Whale out into the water, but the Whale doesn't move. He does
kick up lots of sand though and upsets some passing Crabs. The Crabs
angrily throw Jakamoko into the sea. 
This gives Toto a very clever idea how to
save the Whale! |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto’s are afraid
of the dark and jump at every night-time noise. |
Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto are afraid of the dark. All the night-time noises, from
a jumping cricket to a coyote's howl make them jump. They are even
afraid of their own shadows.
Yoko sings a lullaby to help them all sleep.
Then she plays join the dots with the stars, painting Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto's faces in the sky. 
The trio finally settles safely down to sleep,
knowing that their star selves are lighting up the night sky and
watching over them as they sleep. |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto fight over a beautiful
shell. |
Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto each play with a beautiful shell, but they don't want to
share it. They grab, snatch and steal it from each other to keep
it as their own special toy.
But this is no ordinary shell and a big surprise
is in store for them all.  |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto get themselves into
a right old sticky mess. |
Toto gets a ‘very
sticky’ ball, stuck to his hand. Trying to get unstuck, Toto
sticks the ball to Yoko. Then Jakamoko helps them get unstuck and
he gets the ball stuck on his nose. 
Our three friends get themselves into a very
stick mess - the 'very stick thing' just won't stop sticking! |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto try to catch an irritating
fly. |
Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto are kept awake by an annoying little fly. The chase is
on to catch the little fella...
Jakamoko tries to squash the fly with a rock.
Toto snaps at the fly, trying to catch it inside two coconut shells.
And Yoko tries to prove that she is the better flier.
Each time something goes wrong for Yoko,
Jakamoko and Toto, and the little fly gets away!
Will the trio ever catch the pesky little
fly? And, if so, what will they do with him? |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto make friends with
Tee-Tee the baby turtle. |
Yoko,
Jakamoko and Toto all want to be 'best friends' with Tee-Tee the
baby turtle.
Yoko paints Tee-Tee's shell. Toto makes him
laugh. Jakamoko teaches him to walk. They each make him a special
bed to sleep in.
Suddenly, hundreds of baby turtles appear
and Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto run off to play with them. Tee-Tee gets
left behind. Will Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto forget about their special
friend forever? |

A game of 'tag' gets out of hand. |
Toto and Yoko
play a game of tag, but neither of them wants to be 'it'. To solve
the problem they 'bip' Jakamoko and run away.
Poor Jakamoko is left alone, being ‘it’.
No one will go near him, not even Yoko and Toto. 
Seeing that Jakamoko is sad, Yoko and Toto
try to help their friend. Perhaps they can get someone else to join
the game and take the 'bip' away. |

Papabobo, Jakamoko's elderly relative, comes
to visit. |
Jakamoko wants
to show Papabobo how sensible and grown up he is. Yoko and Toto
simply want to have some fun.
Scared that Yoko and Toto will make Jakamoko
look silly, Jakamoko stops Toto juggling, then he stops Yoko from
singing. He tells them both to behave and go fetch Papabobo a drink.
Toto and Yoko decide it's time for Jakamoko
to stop being so good and join in the fun. Will Jakamoko and Papabobo
see the funny side of their plan? |

Toto adds a 'naughty noise' to the end of
Yoko and Jakamoko’s special song. |
Toto is upset
that he can't sing as well as Yoko and Jakamoko. Unable to sing
with them nicely, he decides to have some fun …he adds a naughty
noise to the end of their pretty tune.
Yoko and Jakamoko don't like Toto spoiling
their song. They hide from Toto and try to sing their song nicely.
Poor Toto doesn't like being left out. He
finds Yoko and Jakamoko in the silliest of places, then stops them
singing with his naughty noise. 
The three friends discover that they can
all have fun, by singing their song in a different way. |

Yoko finds a new friend more interesting
than Toto and Jakamoko. |
Yoko
makes friends with a colourful Chameleon.
Toto gets jealous and asks Doo-da the monkey
to be his new best friend.
Left all alone, Jakamoko makes friends with
a Tortoise.
But making new best friends isn't easy. Yoko,
Jakamoko and Toto soon miss being together as best friends. They
decide to get back together again and leave their ‘new best
friends’ to get to know each other. |

Toto falls in love with a pretty little monkey
called Coco. |
Toto falls in
love for the very first time.
Yoko and Jakamoko think that being in love
is a bit silly. They tease Toto when he gives his girlfriend, Coco
flowers and sings her love songs.
But when Toto discovers he has a rival for
Coco's affections - a very big, and very handsome monkey called
Jojo - Yoko and Jakamoko are there, ready to help if things go wrong.

The secrets of a crystal cave are revealed
by a bright little Firefly in need of help. |
Yoko,
Jakamoko and Toto follow a bright little Firefly into a cave. At
first they are scared of the dark and want to turn back, but the
Firefly lights the path ahead. 
It soon becomes clear that the Firefly needs
their help. Our three friends are happy to help and are rewarded
by the most amazing and beautiful sight. |

Our three friends try to cross a ravine. |
Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto want to cross to the other side of a ravine to eat some
bananas.
Yoko tries flying but she gets too tired.
Then Toto tries to fly across in home-made wings…luckily Jakamoko
stops him just before he falls! Finally, Jakamoko uses a tree to
create a bridge. 
Once they reach the other side, a very big
surprise is in store. |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto are having so much
fun they don't want the day to end. |
Yoko,
Jakamoko and Toto are enjoying a game of ‘peek-a-boo’
so much that they don’t want to go to sleep at night.
As the sun slowly sets, their Jaguar friend
yawns and goes to bed. But they decide to stay up longer. They will
chase the sun to the top of the highest mountain to make the day
last longer, and will play ‘peek-a-boo’ all the way! |

Yoko teaches Bibi the baby bird to fly. |
Yoko gives Bibi
the baby bird some flying lessons. Yoko's a good teacher and Bibi
is soon 'looping the loop' high up in the sky. Toto and Jakamoko
are very impressed. But Yoko is annoyed that Bibi's flying is dangerous.
Yoko refuses to have anything more to do with Bibi. 
When Bibi gets into trouble, will Yoko come
to the rescue? |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto go on tour performing
a song and dance routine. |
Yoko,
Jakamoko and Toto discover that they sing well together as a group.
So, they decide to take a song and dance act on tour.
It's a big success…until Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto start showing off, trying to steal the spotlight from each
other. Then, when they sing to a group of Elephants, they don't
quite get the reaction they expected! |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto are hungry and try
to find some food. |
Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto are very hungry and go looking for food.
They try to get honey from a beehive but
are chased away by angry bees. They try to get a prickly pear off
a cactus, but the spikes are too sharp. They fish in the lake, but
the fish don’t want to be caught. 
It's only when they give up hope of getting
a meal that they succeed. |

Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto discover that a windy
day can be good fun. |
Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto battle with the wind, on a very windy day.
They each build a shelter to protect them
from the strong wind. Yoko’s shelter is made of straw. Toto's
is made of twigs. Jakamoko's is made of stone. But all of the shelters
are blown away.
Yoko, Jakamoko and Toto try to make friends
with the wind and turn their dull day into a fun day. |

Yoko and Jakamoko try to cure Toto's hiccups. |
Toto laughs so
much that he gets the hiccups and they just won’t stop. Yoko
and Jakamoko help Toto cure them.
Toto is told to hold his breath, drink water
from a straw standing up and drink water from a straw upside-down!
He's tickled by Yoko and surprised by Jakamoko with a big ‘Boo!’.
But nothing works. 
Unable to solve the problem, things start
to get even worse…

Playing 'copycat' turns a bit nasty. |
Yoko, Jakamoko
and Toto make fun of an elderly Jaguar with a limp. They laugh at
him and copy his silly walk. 
The Jaguar is very upset and tells his two
best friends all about it. They agree to teach Yoko, Jakamoko and
Toto that it's not nice to pick on people less fortunate than themselves. |

Toto is crowned king of the jungle. |
Toto is crowned
as 'King of the Jungle' by Big and Little Monkey.
Toto loves being King. His new friends bow
to him with a polite 'dibby-dibby' and bring him all the food he
can eat. 
But now that Toto can have anything he wants,
will he remember his two best friends, Yoko and Jakamoko? |

Yoko and Jakamoko teach Toto a lesson for
playing silly pranks on them. |
Toto is very naughty
all morning. He's plays a lot of silly pranks on Yoko and Jakamoko,
who get upset.
Jakamoko decides to behave as badly as Toto
all afternoon to show just how naughty Toto has been. But Toto's
not quite so happy when his silly pranks are played on him. |
