THE SECRET SHOW WINS PULCINELLA
AWARD
AT CARTOONS ON THE BAY

Collingwood O'Hare Entertainment's exciting animated series for 7-12 year olds, The Secret Show, won a Pulcinella Award in the category of Best Action & Adventure TV Series this weekend at the Cartoons on the Bay animation festival in Italy The Jury noted that the series was aSpy comedy with funny identifiable characters.” with “Energetic story-telling that puts you on the edge of your seat.”

The winning episode of this 52 x 13-minutes series, Flick the Switch, was written by series creator and director, Tony Collingwood, who on hearing the news exclaimed joyfully, “Viva Italia!”

“Victor Volt flicks a switch and plunges the entire U.Z.Z. base 60-miles underground into the lair of the brain-sucking Reptogators!  When he flicks it back again, they find themselves in even greater danger, face to face with their deadliest enemies, The Impostors!”

The Secret Show which is a commission from CBBC and BBC Worldwide, has built up a loyal following of kids since its launch last September in TMi.  The series is currently playing in two new timeslots on CBBC Channel Weekdays at 18.15 Mon-Thurs, and Weekends at 10.15. 

The Secret Show has already sold in 20 key countries worldwide, including the USA , where it plays on Nicktoons Network.

The Secret Show is a series about secret people doing secret things. Secret agents Victor Volt and Anita Knight work for the secret organisation U.Z.Z., protecting the world against the evil forces of T.H.E.M.  Managed by a boss whose name is ‘Changed Daily' for reasons of security, and assisted on their madcap missions by an insane scientist, Professor Professor, Victor and Anita save the world from an array of villains intent on world domination. 

A dedicated website www.thesecretshow.com has also been launched by BBC Worldwide to compliment the show's broadcast platforms, allowing children to interact with The Secret Show's content online, including a game and lots of secret things to discover.
